The Right Motive
Have you ever started a diet or cleanse because you felt you needed to lose weight or improve your skin to look better or younger? Cleanses often promise benefits such as more glowing skin, better breathing, more energy, enhanced mental clarity, and weight loss.
This cleanse lists these possible results as well. But how many times have you changed your diet and lifestyle to feel better about yourself, and you did, just to fall back to your old way of living a few weeks or months later? You are not alone! Why—because the deep underlying reason WHY you want to make these changes MATTERS!
Have you heard the phrase "become a better version of yourself"? One can only assume that we are not good enough yet. Something must be "bad" if there is something "better" to become, right?
I don't even have to mention the quite pressure we are dealing with when seeing happy, fit, good-looking people on social media or in magazines. And let's face it—the yoga community can be a tough place if you don't feel and look 100%.
It is easy to believe that you have to improve yourself. There are whole aisles on this topic in the bookstores. However, that is not the case.
You are exactly how you are supposed to be TODAY! Based on everything that has happened to you, all the experiences you have had, and all the knowledge and information available to you, right now, you couldn't be any other way! And you shouldn't!
Your mind will not believe this TRUTH. Yet when you practice yoga, postural poses, and what I call "inner Work" quietly at home- you will start to EXPERIENCE this truth.
Will you evolve, grow, and change? Of course, it is a natural occurrence!
But can you observe this gradual growth from a place of loving self-awareness? This is why you are here! This cleanse is more than just losing a few pounds or being able to breathe better. You will see my friend!
To develop a healthier way of living, you must approach the path of change with loving self-awareness.
Instead of joining this cleanse because you feel the need to be somehow "better," let's make changes from a place of loving self-acceptance. Only then will the healthier habits will gradually become lasting.
